Every Child Belongs. Every Family Matters.

A close-knit community where children are truly known, valued and celebrated.

We believe childhood should be filled with connection, curiosity, nature and joy. As a community-based service, we know our families and create genuine partnerships that support every child to thrive.

A Different Kind of Early Childhood Experience

At Mackay Community Childcare and Kindergarten, we believe childhood shouldn’t feel rushed.

As a small, community-based, not-for-profit service, we provide a warm and familiar environment where children are truly known, valued and celebrated. Our smaller groups allow our educators to build genuine relationships with each child and their family, understand their individual interests and needs, and create days that feel calm, meaningful and unhurried.

Children are given time to play, explore, wonder, create, build friendships and simply enjoy being children. Our programs grow from the children in front of us, their interests, ideas, questions, strengths and experiences, allowing learning to happen naturally through play, relationships and meaningful experiences.

More Than Childcare

We provide education and care for children from birth through to school age, including an approved Kindergarten Program delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

Our children enjoy engaging indoor and outdoor environments, opportunities to explore our local community, regular excursions and incursions, and experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Being a community-based, not-for-profit service means our focus remains where it belongs, on our children and families. Funds are reinvested back into our service to continually improve our environments, resources and the experiences we provide.
